Over the last 3 months or so, Pastor has been going on about the state of our people and where we're headed. The Sermon from yesterday was quite eclectic; eclectic in the sense that it was kind-of all over the place, but made a good point...
We have a lot of noise in our life today and it doesn't have any "rhythmic beat". It lack's substance.
Think about it for a minute...
He gave an example of someone driving down the street with a booming car system. The comment was made that, if you're going to go out and boom down the street - at least get a quality system... One where your windows won't break and your trunk and rust doesn't rattle off...
A lot of the things we fill our life with just doesn't mean anything. Even worse then that, we don't even notice it...
Look at some of the music today for another example of things with no substance. Just check out this song by Waka Flaka Flame - what is he talking about?
Where is the substance?
How is all of this repaying God for all His benefits in our life?
